ABOUT THE AED LOAN PROGRAM
WE WANT TO SAVE LIVES
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere — at a festival, on a playing field, at a meeting, or during a family gathering. When an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is available and used quickly, it can dramatically improve the chance of survival.

AEDs are highly effective, but they are also expensive, typically costing more than $1,000. For many community groups, nonprofits, and event organizers, owning an AED simply isn’t affordable.
The Ojai AED Loaner Program was created to remove that barrier. By offering AEDs on a temporary, loan basis, the program helps ensure that cost does not stand in the way of emergency preparedness and lifesaving response.
The Ojai AED Loaner Program was created to make these lifesaving devices more accessible throughout our community. The program was initiated by a local emergency room physician who recognized that many community events do not have an AED onsite simply because of cost and logistics. By offering AEDs on a temporary loan basis, we help remove those barriers and make preparedness straightforward and accessible.

When planning an event, safety is part of hospitality. Having an AED onsite is a straightforward way to help ensure your gathering is prepared for the unexpected.
Supported by the Rotary Club of Ojai in partnership with Gables of Ojai, the program reflects a shared commitment to community safety and practical service. Our goal is simple: to ensure that more gatherings across the Ojai Valley are equipped to respond quickly and confidently in an emergency.
